Art Club Prize Winner

Congratulations to Susan Sinclair, winner of this year’s St Andrews Art Club competition to design a cover for St Andrews in Focus.

Her picture is entitled, ‘River Idyll – near where the Isla meets the Tay’.

Susan gives the background:

The medium is oil paint. The original was a photo taken when my son, his daughters, and dog, canoed from Dunkeld down the Tay and up the Isla. We met them, took them and the canoe back to their car at Dunkeld.

I have been a member of the Art Club for more than thirty years. I taught mathematics. After I retired I went to Art College, but I have always drawn and painted..
